Curtis Casey is a welding educator, consultant, and former program director with more than 40 years across industry, higher education, and workforce development. As program director at Mesa Community College, he designed a new 30,000 sq ft welding facility, built advanced curricula, and led instructional teams serving 300+ students each semester.
A Certified Welding Inspector and Educator, Curtis founded Gillett Consulting LLC to support schools, industry partners, and curriculum publishers with training, facility design, and welding procedure development. He serves as a subject matter expert for NCCER and a long-time advisor to state and regional welding committees.
Before education, Curtis spent 14 years at Bechtel Power Corporation as a field welding engineer, inspector, and multi-discipline QC manager on major nuclear and energy projects. His career began in the U.S. Navy as a Hull Maintenance Technician 1st Class, supervising nuclear-qualified welders on submarines and surface ships.
